This is a reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like new condition. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes. The Bostitch CPACK270 is a Factory Reconditioned Dual Action Finish Tool and Compressor Combo Kit. The kit includes SB-1664FN 16 gauge, 2-1/2 finish nailer, SB-IN1 combination brad nailer/finish stapler and CAP1516 1.5 HP (peak) oil-free contractor compressor. It also has 3/8 x 25 heavy-duty airline with MPT fittings, all required fittings & thread sealant tape with tire inflator chuck. I bought this tool mainly to nail my stair threads & riser. It worked without having any issues. Also used the angled nailer which I bought later to nail my Balausters.

Pros.
-Main parts are made of metal.
-Very comfortable, well balanced, very light. Rubber handle for more comfort.
-Easy to load, easy to open and close (Magazine fits about 1.5 stack of nails, so you don't have to wait until you run out of nails, put some extra on half way empty)
-Leaves very small holes. I work with finished wood, all types of wood (Mahogany, poplar, oak, maple, ceder etc..) all types of plywood. It leaves very small holes, NO DENTS.
-No sticking out nails (do not use that red plastic cap, it's not needed, gun is pretty soft without it). Any type of wood and any size of nails you name it.
-Shooting under the angles is very easy, head does not slip, still no sticking out nails.
-It comes with very comfortable and portable gray case (eye glasses included) Locks on the case are very reliable and are not going to break for a long time. Easy to lock easy to open.
-Quick release anti-jam nose

Cons.
-No depth adjustment
-Red dot indicates when you are almost out of nails, but it does not prevent you from shooting nails if you are out of them.
-No constant fire (not sure how that feature called)

Other thoughts:
-It's my 3rd Apach gun I own 2 18ga and one 23ga and I'm happy with all of them
-I use Senco PC1010 Compressor.

Overall it's a nice gun for the price. If you install doors, moldings, do furniture, install finished works it's a gun to go with.

I am a big time Delta/Porter-Cable enthusiast. Most everthing in my garage says Delta or Porter-Cable on it. They have been great with replacement parts and/or info over the phone. But I have to say that this Bostitch is a great little brad nailer. I own a PC BN200 brad nailer but the Bostitch is my hands down favorite. Super light weight, easy to grip, easy to load and no recoil (if you release the trigger after you remove the tip from the work surface). That's right! No dents even without the plastic tip.
Three things I like the best are:
1) It leaves a smaller and cleaner hole than my Porter-Cable.
2) It shoots 5/8" to 2" nails opposed to 3/4" to 2".
3) Being a smaller gun, it fits into tighter spaces and is easier to handle for longer periods of time.
Don't get me wrong, the Porter-Cable is great, but the Bostitch is just a little more refined.
One thing that should be noted, the Bostitch does not have a quick release nose piece but really, when was the last time you've ever had to clear a jam on a brad nailer? Besides, it won't happen with the restrictive on this unit.
At less than an expensive dinner, you owe yourself this one.
Don't second guess buy the best one first. It will be money very well spent.

I should have purchased this bradnailer a long time ago! You wouldn't believe the time saved attaching base and window trim to walls with no bashed wood or fingers. If you are looking for a great tool at a great price then this is it! The nails are shot with supreme accuracy and even the smallest trim was never "split" like with finish nails (no predrilling needed). Wonderfull light tool that is very easy to load and use. Uses 5/8" 18 gauge to 2" brads which I thought wouldn't hold worth a damn but was shocked! This tool is a must have for anyone who wishes to trim their home or do woodworking.

I bought the Bostitch SB-1850BN 18-Gauge Brad Nailer to use with trim work. I am a home owner and love doing as much as I can myself. this tool makes life so much easier. I can use this tool to put together bird houses. I have found this tool to help in all of our craft projects. A good buy!
